Tim Offer Architects have recently started a project in Dartmouth, South Hams. The project is to extend an existing coastal home to make it better for entertaining and family life. We are developing ideas to improve the access and connections by making a new entrance and sequence of spaces moving towards the view.
Our work always starts by carefully at the existing house and its location, to make sure that our changes make the most of its spectacular location. The house sits up on the steep sided bank of the Warfleet Creek and enjoys great views over the creek and the River Dart. It also backs onto an mature woodland in the South Hams AONB.
We are really looking forward to working closely with the clients to develop the scheme further and make the most of their beautiful home.

We love working in the beautiful locations that the South Devon coast offers, in and around Newton Ferrers, Kingsbridge, Dartmouth, Salcombe and Wembury. The locations of these projects and their views always form a key part of the solution. We always look to develop connections between outside and in, and create great access to views of the water. However, it’s also important to create some variety too. Not every room needs the full view. By considering each room and its requirements we can create spaces with different characters and personalities and create a journey through the home. This makes each room special and distinctive, and allows the rooms with a privileged view to be even more special. How you get to a destination is as important as the destination itself.
